For example, you can configure the device to show green for the material you want to keep and red for rejected material.

 

Example Applications

Textile waste sorting Increase the value of your sorted fabrics by using instruments – the 0.5 second identification time means that you can sort a large number of garments quickly and accurately. The programmable LED (below the screen) allows you to configure a particular color for a specific composition (e.g. blue for > 90% cotton), so that your sorters can sort quickly.

The machine supports 10 pure materials and 13 blends:

The performance & accuracy depend on a number of factors, such as correct measurement technique – the accuracy is typically ±10% for blends (that is, the material composition is ±10%) and 5-10% detection threshold for contamination in pure materials. The numbers represent the typical accuracy for the vast majority of samples, but cannot be guaranteed for every single sample.

It is not possible to separate chemically identical fibres, such as wool vs alpaca but the machine can separate e.g. cotton vs wool.
