The Precision IR Calibrators provide a fast, accurate, and reliable solution for verifying infrared thermometers and thermal imagers. Designed by one of the world’s most trusted temperature calibration laboratories, these calibrators offer exceptional stability, uniformity, and accuracy up to ±32.6°F (0.35 °C). With a wide operating range from -15°C to 120°C, a large 152 mm target area, and built-in sample calibration procedures, they ensure traceable and repeatable IR temperature measurements. Ideal for laboratories, industrial settings, and quality control environments requiring dependable IR calibration performance.
Features
* Large target Dimensions of 152mm (6″) captures “peripheral vision” of infrared thermometers and minimizes
* Dimensions of source effect errors
* Compensates for errors caused by individual infrared thermometer emissivity settings
* Sample calibration procedures for Fluke and Raytek thermometers 3are built right in
* Accuracy as good as ±0.35°C
* Test Uncertainty Ratios (TUR) as good as 4:1
* Excellent stability and uniformity
* Reaches temperature setpoint quickly
* Intuitive, easy-to-read display that indicates when temperature is stable
The 4180 Series of Precision Infrared Calibrators for infrared thermometers and thermal imagers is fast, accurate, and easy to use. It comes with an accredited calibration from one of the world’s most trusted temperature calibration laboratories, sample calibration procedures for Fluke thermometers built right in and everything you need to get started making high-quality infrared thermometer calibrations. This is the perfect solution for any infrared thermometer or thermal imager within its temperature range.
The 4180 Infrared Temperature Calibrator reaches temperatures from -15 °C to 120 °C and the 4181 Infrared Temperature Calibrator has a temperature range from 35 °C to 500 °C. Uniformity is important in infrared temperature calibration work because an infrared thermometer will “see” as much as the entire target when placed at the appropriate calibration distance.

Why Choose Precision IR Calibrators?
These Precision IR Calibrators are built for users who require precise and traceable IR temperature measurements without complex adjustments. With a nominal emissivity of 0.95 and automatic compensation for emissivity-related errors, they eliminate guesswork and ensure consistent results across different IR thermometers. The large 6-inch target captures the full field-of-view of thermal imagers, reducing source effect errors and enhancing accuracy. They feature excellent thermal stability, fast heating and cooling times, and clear visual feedback when the setpoint is reached. Backed by accredited calibration and trusted engineering, the 4180/4181 Series delivers industry-leading performance in both low- and high-temperature ranges. These calibrators guarantee reliable, repeatable, and professional-grade temperature verification for any IR instrument within their operating range.
