Washing Color Fastness Tester
Advanced washing fastness tester simulating domestic and commercial laundering with precise temperature, rotation control, and multi-cup capacity for accurate color fastness evaluation.
- Accurate simulation of domestic and commercial washing
- Automatic water level and PID temperature control
- Complies with ISO, AATCC, GB/T, and JIS standards
Main purpose
The Washing Color Fastness Tester evaluates the washing fastness, dry-cleaning fastness, and shrinkage resistance of textiles such as cotton, wool, silk, hemp, and chemical fibers. It also checks how well dyes maintain their color during washing.
Working principle
The tester places the sample, detergent, and steel balls inside a stainless-steel cup mounted on a rotating rod. As the machine heats the water to the required temperature, the motor rotates the spindle at 40 rpm. The sample rubs against the steel balls inside the washing solution for a set time, simulating five household or commercial wash cycles. Afterward, the operator rinses and dries the sample, then evaluates its discoloration and staining levels using a gray card.
Instrument Features
- Durable touch switch: The lightweight electronic touch switch offers long life and high reliability. The waterproof panel film protects the circuit even when water splashes on the surface.
- Automatic operation: The system controls water level automatically and manages water inlet and outlet functions. It also includes a dry-burn prevention feature.
- Stable temperature control: The PID controller maintains accurate temperature and prevents overshooting.
- User notifications: The machine beeps when it reaches the set temperature or when the test ends.
- Safety protection: A safety switch on the working door stops all moving parts when the user opens the chamber, preventing burn accidents.
