Screen Tension Gauge
Precision Screen Tension Gauge for measuring silk screen tension in N/cm. Ensures consistent tension, superior print quality, and extended screen performance.
- Measures screen tension accurately in Newtons per centimeter (N/cm)
- Ensures consistent, high-quality printing results
- Compact, durable, and factory-calibrated design
The Screen Tension Gauge (Silk Screen Tension Meter) is a precision mechanical device designed to measure the tension of all types of screen-printing fabrics, including polyester, nylon, and wire mesh. Built with a shock-resistant measuring base and accurate mechanical dial indicator, it provides reliable readings in Newtons per centimeter (N/cm). Its compact, portable design makes it ideal for use in both screen preparation and production environments. Ensuring consistent screen tension helps achieve superior print quality, uniform ink distribution, and extended screen life.
- The tension meter has been adjusted before leaving factory, users ought not to regulate it by themselves.
- Reading display method: when the reading pointer begins to rotate, the first circle of the reading is not accurate. The indication of the second circle is the measured value during measuring (flick the silk screen beside the tension meter at the same time).
- The tension of the silk screen is measured by N/cm, that is, the tension of silk screen in a width of 1cm (N or kg, 1 kg = 9.8N) Therefore, the tension meter measured and indicated by Newton can have practical significance.
Double pointers instruction:
- The smaller pointer indicates the number of the rotating circles of the bigger pointer( when the smaller pointer directs to 2, it means that the bigger pointer has rotated 2 circles)
- The actual reading of the tension meter: when the bigger pointer rotates 2 circles, the tension meter begins to measure value.
- Correction: put the tension meter on the glass and make the bigger pointer rotate two and half circles. If it finally points to the triangle mark, it proves that the reading of the tension meter is accurate.
Function of the silk screen tension meter:
- The tension meter can be used to measure the tension of the screen you stretch. Or portable, compact, mechanical tension measuring device
- Measure tension of all screen-printing fabrics in Newtons per centimeter (N/cm)
- The tonometer consists of a shock-resistant measuring base with a precision mechanical dial indicator.
- The tonometer works on the principle of force deflection: the unique design of the meters 3-point measuring base permits accurate measurement on the screen (polyester, nylon or wire), independent of the screen frame or stretching device;
- Protected in a convenient, rugged plastic carrying case.
Notice:
- Before using please put the tension meter on the glass and turn round the dial to make the pointer return to zero.
- Flick the silk screen during measuring, the indication when the pointer stopped is the tension of the silk screen.
- Tension meter is precision meter, fall and touch is forbidden, be careful during using.
- Tension meter has been tested precisely when leave the factory, dismounting alone is not allowed.
- Can’t touch the bottom side contactor by hand, put the machine vertically without using.
- The Newton indication is the indication of the tension’s contactor, the error is +0.5N.
- The indication of the second circle is the measured value during measuring.
Why Choose Screen Tension Gauge?
Choose the Screen Tension Gauge for precise, stable, and repeatable screen tension measurement. Its force deflection principle and three-point measuring base guarantee accurate results, independent of screen frame or stretching device. The double-pointer design allows users to clearly track tension readings, while the rugged casing ensures protection during transport. Each unit is pre-calibrated and tested at the factory for optimal accuracy, eliminating the need for user adjustments. Whether you’re in textile printing, graphics, or industrial applications, this tension meter ensures consistent tension control for high-quality prints. Its durable construction, easy operation, and reliable performance make it an essential tool for every screen-printing professional.
